ADVOCACY TACTICS

Approved for 5 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) by the New York Peer Specialist Certification Board (NYPSCB).

This training will provide participants with a rudimentary understanding of various tactics to influence, persuade and educate the public, colleagues and decision-makers. It encompasses tactics for engaging, educating and persuading audiences through mass media and alternative media channels, coupled with effective outreach, mobilization, leadership, and coalition-building techniques.
